Mentor ATX began more than five years ago as a grassroots, peer-to-peer mentorship program empowering high school students as they took their first steps toward college. That mission has never wavered; it has simply grown into something students can now hold in their hands.

My College Mentor
We turned what mentors were teaching in person into a guided journal, so every student could have that same roadmap with or without a mentor in the room.

College, career, and (soon) military readiness books, in English and Spanish — plus programs that let schools, districts, and companies bring them to more students.
Why we do this
We are firmly dedicated to providing youth in under resourced communities with crucial guidance early on, ensuring they are equipped long before they embark on their higher education journey.
"My College Mentor" was developed as a comprehensive alternative to the direct guidance that many students lack, rather than serving merely as a supplementary tool. The program provides an organized and enduring resource to address essential questions related to academic majors, financial assistance, college applications, and transitions following high school.
That same idea now extends past college. My Career Mentor helps students prepare for the workforce directly. My Military Mentor, currently in development, will do the same for students considering service. Whichever path a student is on, the goal is the same: give them a clear next step, in their own hands.

Our books exist in English and Spanish, in formats schools can actually afford and order at scale, so cost and language aren't barriers.

Every program we develop, including both the books and Mentor for Good, is intentionally structured to serve students who are least likely to have access to such guidance.
